  1. Honestly, it might be. Prices were already raised this year by a couple of cents due to the increase in hourly wages. Then the Russian invasion of Ukraine did spike it. However, prices did change again, seemingly rapid and out of nowhere constantly. It could be because of the promotions of electric vehicles. Many companies did say they wanted all electric by 2023, and that timeline is coming up really soon.

  2. Is the rise of gas prices a scheme to sell EVs, explain?
The rise of gas prices could be a possibility to sell EVs due to the fact that gas prices are going up everyday. Companies has stated that they want all electric cars by 2023 and that’s in less than 9 months.

  3. Gas prices all around are increasing so how now to the point where 10 dollars won’t even help your car and on dofferent cars it works differently this is happening because of the oil shipping from the uk n Russia but our supplies are on hold right now so until they’re cut back on gas will be higher .

  4. Gas prices are increasing because oil is going up, Right now i agree it will make electronic vehicles more popular.

  5. Gas prices are rising because oil is going up so if it continues to go up ev will be a better alternative option which will be way cheaper than gas.

  6. The limited amount of oil has caused gas prices to sky rocket one of the main causes is Russia a huge supplier of gasoline for a majority of places all around the world has closed themselves off. Gas prices are going to continue to rise, so electrical cars might be the future

  7. This is something I have definitely thought about as typically the gas prices are higher with a democratic president in office, for example back in 2014 when gas prices were on average about $4 a gallon back when Obama was president, But I feel like it’s probably not that but I do have that idea in the back of my head.

  8. Gas price scheme is unlikely to be honest and electric vehicles getting more popular is unlikely as well i see people saying don’t get a electric car now they may gain some more consumers only because yes gas prices are going up but some people.

  9. It makes sense that the gas prices are rising to sell Electric Vehicles. People really didn’t see a need for them before since gas wasn’t as high. Now that gas is expensive people are starting to see the appeal of the electric vehicle.

  10. With the whole interruption of our main oil supplier. Oil is more rare and in such low quantity, so the value is way higher. Resulting in the raise in cost.

  11. The rise in gas prices can definitely help sell more EVs, but I don’t think the rising gas prices are a scheme in order to sell more EVs. Right now there are other reasons that contribute to the rise in gas, such Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. There is also no evidence of this conspiracy theory to prove it right.

  12. i think that it could be but I don’t think that that is the main reason I think that since this did happen the EV companies are just trying to take advantage of this opportunity because right now no one wants to pay these outrageous gas prices.

  13. Is the rise of gas prices a scheme to sell EVs, explain?:
The raising of the price of gas seems not to be a scheme to sell EVs. EVs, even if everybody replaced their cars with them, can not be shut down by the government or be altered in any way, therefore there is no point in the government replacing combustion vehicles with electric vehicles.

  14. 15. Gas prices are skyrocketing because of the oil situations going on.Gas is up to almost 5 dollars right now in some states and it’s gonna be even more high, many cars require more gas than others as well.

  16. 17. Soon enough everyone will be driving prius’ or taking the bus to work because this is simply getting ridiculous.

  18. I can see your point but at the same time it is because the gas companies uses it to boost up the prices so yes we cutting off our gas lines to Russia is not causing it to go up but we are so scared of the news and of the media that the gas companies can also use it to push these prices on us and we think it’s justified and then we all come up and banned against Russia while they get richer and then we go off and fight amongst ourselves

  19. The gas price hike is not the result of a scheme to sell more ev’s. This scheme is substantially difficult to pull off by any electric vehicle company because many things would have to be manipulated which is very unlikely. An example being every major gas station company would have to raise their price to make the scheme work. It is also true that the war has genuinely effected the gas prices because of the many factors that come in when transporting or obtaining the necessary materials for gas.

  21. Is the rise of gas prices a scheme to sell EVs, explain?
The racing gas prices is in a scheme however, because no one ev company would be able to take over and with everything going on in society i would say no. Everywhere gas is going up
and the economy isn’t the same anymore anywhere.

  22. It makes sense that the gas prices are rising to sell Electric Vehicles. The rise of gas prices may be a scheme but it is due to the increasing cost of oil for the U.S but either way it will effect EV’s.
