Last night, Jan. 5, 2021, history was made when Democrat candidate Raphael Warnock defeated incumbent Kelly Loeffler. Warnock becomes the first African American to be elected senator in Georgia’s history.
With Warnock’s victory, the Democrats are now one step away from having the majority in the U.S. Senate, which will be determined in the other runoff election between incumbent Republican David Perdue and Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff.
