Now That Prime Video Has Ads, Here’s How to Upgrade to Ad-Free Streaming | The Streamable

Attention all Prime Video users, the moment you’ve been dreading is finally here. Amazon has officially introduced ads to its video streaming service, and unless you’re willing to fork out an extra $2.99 per month, you’ll be encountering these interruptions in your streaming experience. But why the fuss about going ad-free on Prime Video?

Well, let’s start with the fact that Prime Video boasts one of the most extensive libraries of TV shows and movies in the streaming world. With over 11,000 movies and 2,300 TV series at your fingertips, it’s a treasure trove of entertainment. Going ad-free means you can binge-watch your favorite shows and movies without those annoying commercial interruptions that can really spoil the viewing experience.

What’s more, the world of streaming advertisements is evolving rapidly. Advertisers are grappling with revenue losses, and streaming services have promised to keep the number of ads per hour lower than traditional TV. However, as ad loads slowly creep upward, Amazon might likely increase the number of commercials in the future. So, going ad-free could be a smart move to ensure your viewing remains interruption-free……….full-loaf-600x400-1-e1700879832480 Now That Prime Video Has Ads, Here’s How to Upgrade to Ad-Free Streaming | The Streamable[read more]

Well, ads could boost Amazon’s revenue, but some customers might not appreciate the interruption. It’s a delicate balance!

Ads can cause people to leave bad reviews on there by always putting up the same ads back-to-back and every time because of the interruption, but it could as help to get up revenue to viewers who think it is beneficially to them.

while amazon will see more revenue, this might push more to piracy.

While adding ads to their customers experience helps Amazon gain revenue, their customers who had been paying for a streaming service with no ads won’t want to pay for something they had for cheaper

This will hopefully run their platform to the ground. People already hate paying for ads, but now people will have to but a prime version of prime. Hopefully people will stop purchasing it until Amazon does better.
