The rise of subscription-based grocery delivery services encourages laziness. The appeal of these products is that you don’t have to drive to the store and load up to groceries in your car. I believe traditional brick and mortar stores will thrive regardless of amazon delivery-based service. The appeal of grocery stores is that you can actually look and feel the product. With amazon service you can’t ensure the quality of your veggies for example. Consumer will most likely use the service for convenience for when they need something but can’t go out and get it themselves.
Online grocery services provide the convenience of shopping from home, saving time and effort compared to in traditional in store shopping. It also promotes brick-and-mortar grocery stores to be in style to the other ones.
