Fast food companies can navigate the delicate balance between catering and consumer preferences by focusing on fresh ingredients, fresh products, and a customizable menu for the consumers to make they’re happy and satisfied with their food.
I think that most fast-food companies balance this delicacy by making sure they are consistent with their menu items. Along with paying attention to competitors and what their customers like. If companies were to go out on a limb and constantly creating new items not having anything stable it would affect their business tremendoulsy.
Fast Food Companies will always be innovating and creating new products to attract new customers, but they will never absolutely, completely change their menu from the top down. Companies like McDonalds, Wendys, Chick-Fil-A, etc., they will always have their original products despite adding new menu items for limited times. What they are known for will always stay, but they will not hesitate to add something new for a temporary time or otherwise to spice things up.
Fast food restaurants can balance this by making sure to keep their most well liked products and makes sure that they always have the best ingredients. With that implemented They should be able to add new items without much backlash from consumers.
