Biden awards $623M to states, local governments and tribes to build EV charging network

The Biden administration is taking significant steps to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) in the United States by awarding $623 million in grants to expand the EV charging infrastructure nationwide. These grants will fund 47 EV charging stations and related projects in 22 states and Puerto Rico, providing 7,500 EV charging ports. His investment could change the economy because it would result in more people to buy electric cars instead of gas. It also hasten environmental goals by reducing the carbon emissions caused by gas powered cars, and reduce the use of oil rigs. It might change future consumer choices by wanting to buy an electric car instead of a gas one.
