The decision to shutter the bakery wasn’t taken lightly, as indicated by Marie-Ève Royer, President of Bimbo Canada. Despite investing over $500 million in Canada since 2014, with a significant portion allocated to Quebec, the company has faced challenges related to declining site utilization and production over time. Royer emphasizes Bimbo Canada’s dedication to fostering a sustainable business model aligned with long-term objectives.
